GreenBUILD

The project "Green & Energy-Efficient Building Design for UA Renovation" (GreenBUILD) is aimed generally on reducing the overall environmental impact of buildings, increase their energy efficiency, creating healthier indoor and outdoor spaces, and promoting the use of renewable energy sources through EU/TR-UA universities collaboration, for training of new generation of experts educated as in building and construction engineering, so in ecological and energy efficiency aspects.

It is expected within the project to teach new cohort of qualified staff ready to work in fast developing and changing professional environment, with knowledge and skills corresponding to new age demands: interdisciplinary openness, capability of understanding engineering and construction issues in a systematic and in-depth way, using the tools for modelling and evaluation of potential environmental and technological risks, their mitigation. GreenBUILD EU-based Master program (in the field of Building and Civil Engineering) is planned to be developed within the project in response to the present state of affairs in Ukraine (necessity of civil infrastructure reconstruction), as well as to common current defiances – accomplishing sustainable development goals and labour market needs. The Project supports transfer of the most recent knowledge and good practices available at the Programme countries’ HEIs – IT, EST, SE, TR in the field of Eco-Friendly & Energy-Efficient Building Technologies to UA Universities, considering all challenges that are required by modern EU and national technological, safety, economic and environmental standards and trends (e.g. European Green Deal, Industry 5.0, etc.). It is foreseen to introduce developed MSc. Programs at 5 UA universities; to develop Teaching Materials for GreenBUILD MP support; to establish GreenBUILD LABs for students at UA HEIs; to launch Massive Open Online Course; to provide GreenBUILD students pilot and Experts' advanced trainings.
